A man from West Palm Beach was arrested in Georgia Tuesday with 70 pounds of suspected cocaine.
According to officials with the Georgia State Patrol, 23 year-old Henry A. Carty was charged with cocaine trafficking, speeding, obstruction of justice, felony fleeing, and other traffic charges. Police say a trooper attempted to stop Carty for speeding around 4:45 p.m. on I-75 near Old Dixie Highway. Carty drove onto an access road and a trooper used a maneuver to bring the Saturn to a stop, according to State Patrol spokesman Gordy Wright.
Carty then ran across I-75 and into woods, where he was found about 20 minutes later, Wright said.
Troopers discovered 32 kilos of suspected cocaine inside Carty’s Saturn.

Police say they discovered nearly 200 marijuana plants in a Royal Palm Beach home last week.
According to officials with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, deputies arrested 37 year-old Ariel Moreno Rosales, Wednesday, on charges of trafficking in marijuana, possession with intent to sell, tampering with utility equipment, and possessing a residence with the intent to manufacture cannabis. Agents executed a search warrant at Rosales’ residence in the 13000 block of North 52nd Court on Friday.
Authorities discovered 79 potted marijuana plants in three bedrooms, according to the arrest report. The report also says the three rooms were modified with industrial lighting and reflective paneling. Agents also discovered a large clear container with another 112 potted plants in a hallway.
Police report they found two clear storage bags in the kitchen of Rosales’ residence containing approximately 353 grams of marijuana. Rosales appeared to have diverted power through the attic and connected to the main line on the street, police say.

A 24-year-old woman was charged with possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, possession of marijuana, transportation of paraphernalia and child neglect after police found her passed out in her hot car with her 2-year-old son, authorities said. Officers found her slumped over her steering wheel outside of a Boca Raton, Fla., tanning salon, but she came to when they opened her car door.
Arrest records say that both she and her child were soaked in sweat. Police found a prescription bottle with various tablets, a marijuana pipe and marijuana in a quick search of her car. She was taken to the Palm Beach County Jail, authorities said.
