Four students broke into their Palm Beach County high school Sunday night, riding a golf cart through the cafeteria until arrested by police. One young man punched a police dog, and two of them went to the hospital for dog bites.  The two minors were sent to the county’s juvenile detention facility, authorities say, and the two 18-year-old students were booked into the county jail.

School security spotted the intruders on closed-circuit cameras. The students were found with burglary tools in their backpacks. They were also caught with some of the school’s football equipment. They were arrested on charges of burglary, possession of burglary tools and trespassing. One of the 17-year-old students was also charged with battery on a police work dog. The two older students were additionally charged with theft, resisting arrest and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
