Two unemployed West Palm Beach men are in police custody following a felony theft case.
A 31-year-old man and a 25-year-old man have been charged with theft, burglary, fleeing authorities, and the possession of burglary tools. Upon their arrest, the owner of the house which they were robbing immediately pressed charges against the pair.
According to the police report, on Monday morning, around 10:20 a.m., officers from the Port St. Lucie department were dispatched to respond to a burglary in progress. When they arrived at the house, located in Southwest Lofgren Avenue’s 1700 block, they searched the premises. A man carrying a television towards his car was ordered to drop the television and get on the ground. Instead, the man fled the scene. The other man burst out of the house and attempted to flee from authorities as well. Both were apprehended.
