A West Palm Beach woman has been accused of ripping off utilities, banks and credit card companies by stealing the identities of elderly patients, authorities said. She worked as a telephone solicitor for a medical supply company, which gave her access to people’s medical information. She has 25 charges against her, but detectives say they expect to add to that number this week.
She had 10 previous convictions on fraud-related charges, but the company she worked for said it did not see any charges on her background check. Authorities are still looking for her boyfriend, who they say cashed checks with fake IDs the woman made.
