A 33-year-old man is charged with sexual assault of a 13-year-old last year. He had moved to Toronto since the incident, but detectives tracked him down, and he surrendered Tuesday night in the Palm Beach County Jail.

The victim’s mother tried to get the judge to drop the case, but the case is going forward nonetheless. The man is under $50,000 bail, and if released, he’ll be under house arrest and have no contact with any children under 18. He was also asked to surrender his passport.
